TMC Announces Results for July 2011

Toyota City, Japan, August 30, 2011—Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) announces its production, domestic sales and export results, including those for subsidiaries Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. and Hino Motors, Ltd., for July 2011.

Post-Great East Japan Earthquake Production (Previously Announced)
Although the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11 and its aftereffects severely hampered production, Toyota forecasts its domestic and overseas production levels, which reached 90% in June and returned to near pre-earthquake planned levels in July, to return to full levels in September.  In Japan, Toyota also plans to produce an additional 350,000 vehicles from October through March 2012 to make up for production lost to the disaster and its aftereffects.
